***Surgical Technician (Orthopedics) ***
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience required.
Responsibilities :
A Day in the life of a Surgical Technician (Orthopedics) :
As a Certified Surgical Technician (Orthopedics) you will be working under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities. This position is located in Suffolk, VA (23435)!
Requirements for the Surgical Tech (Orthopedics) :
- Required: 2 years as a Surgical Tech (Orthopedics)
- Required: Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program or previous surgical technician experience of at least two years.
- Required: High School graduate or equivalent
- Required: BLS
- Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
- Required: Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Required: Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
- Required: Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
- Required: Be anexcellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred: Previous experience in Orthopedics
- Preferred: Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center
- $23.00-$33.00 an hour (depending on experience level)
- Weekly Pay
- OFF WEEKENDS FOR THIS POSITION!
